# Terms of use and license.

_Last updated 25 September 2026_

Robion is made and published by Jan Muller, Prague, Czech Republic. These terms cover the macOS app, the Linux server, robion-cli, the phone web app and this website — together “Robion”. By downloading or using Robion you agree to them.

## License

Robion is proprietary software. It is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use, on as many machines as you control.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Robion, modify it, or remove its copyright notices. Reverse engineering is permitted only to the extent that applicable law allows it regardless of this clause.

Future versions may ship under different terms, including paid tiers. A version you already have keeps the terms it was published with.

Robion contains open-source components (Electron, Node.js and others) that remain under their own licenses.

## Claude Code and your Anthropic account

Robion drives Claude Code, a product of Anthropic. You need your own Claude Code installation and your own Anthropic account; their use is governed by Anthropic’s terms, and any costs Anthropic charges are yours.

Robion is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Anthropic. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC.

## Your data

Robion runs on your own machines. Your code, prompts and transcripts stay there; Robion has no account, no cloud and no access to them. The phone connects only inside your own Tailscale network.

The only thing that leaves the machine is anonymous usage statistics (which features are used, which versions are out there), sent to PostHog in the EU under a random install id. No code, prompts, paths or personal data are included, and the switch in Settings → Privacy turns it off.

## Agents act on your behalf

Robion starts agent sessions, runs the commands and automations you configure, and lets agents edit your repositories, files and tickets. You are responsible for what they do. Review the permissions you grant, keep backups and check what an agent changed before you ship it.

## No warranty, limited liability

Robion is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind — it may contain bugs, and it may stop being distributed at any time.

To the extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for lost data, lost profits or any indirect or consequential damage arising from the use of Robion. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, such as for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and it does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

## Updates and changes to these terms

The app checks GitHub releases for new versions; installing an update is your choice. Changes to these terms are published on this page with a new date, and continued use of a version released after that date means you accept them.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Disputes are settled by the courts of the Czech Republic.

## Contact

Questions about these terms, bug reports and feature requests go to the issue tracker of the releases repository.
